I have been in the financial services industry for 20+ years, originating mortgages for over 15 of them. In that time, I’ve learned that a mortgage is simply a commodity—a service that thousands of entities are able to provide. My success in this vast industry is rooted in very basic rules: 1) Care more for the customer than for any other part of my professional life. The families I work with trust me to advise them through an often confusing and intimidating process. Each decision, recommendation, and action is made with this trust in mind. 2) Knowledge. The mortgage industry has been through monumental changes in the last several years. Keeping up with these changes, along with solid product knowledge and the wherewithal to get my customers through a convoluted system, help to keep rule #1 in focus and to get my customers into their homes. 3) Customer service. Communication with customers and business partners helps alleviate angst in all parties involved. This starts at first meeting, and continues for years after. Only by treating people well and caring about them, will I become their “mortgage guy” for life. I am grateful to have a loyal clientele of past customers and clients, who are now my friends.
When I’m not helping families get into homes, you can find me hiking the Utah mountains and deserts, taking photographs of the night sky or sunsets, and spending time with my wife, five kids, and six grand-kiddos.
