With over 35 years of experience in the mortgage industry, Michael Easterly brings deep knowledge, proven success, and a genuine passion for service to his role at SWBC Mortgage. A steadfast believer in Virginia Tech’s motto, “Ut Prosim”, which translates to “That I May Serve”—Michael has built his career around the principle of putting people first. His commitment to helping individuals and families realize the dream of homeownership has remained at the heart of his professional journey.
Michael's career includes a decade of leadership at Southern Trust Mortgage, where he served as Branch Manager and Mortgage Loan Officer and was recognized with multiple honors, including President’s Club and Manager of the Year. In 2009, he took on the role of Branch Manager at Mason Dixon Funding in Roanoke, Virginia, which later became part of Embrace Home Loans.
Now proud to be part of the SWBC Mortgage team, Michael is excited to continue doing what he excels at—guiding clients through one of life’s most important decisions with expertise, care, and a personal touch.
A native of Bedford, Virginia, and a first-generation college graduate, Michael earned his B.S. in Marketing Management from Virginia Tech. He is an active member of Thomas Road Baptist Church, a loyal Virginia Tech Athletics supporter, and a devoted animal lover who spends much of his free time rescuing orphaned cats.
