Cara Harrison grew up in Woodbine, MD on her family farm. The values of hard work and pride of ownership helped to mold her into a strong mortgage professional. “I understand the lay of the land and how precious the American dream of having a place of your own can be,” said Cara.
A 15-year veteran of the mortgage industry, Cara began her career with a local community bank in the construction division. After several years of growth and increased responsibility, she set her sights on a role as a Loan Officer with SWBC Mortgage Corporation. Her success as an originator comes from a strong foundation of mortgage knowledge and an understanding of how important effective communication is for her clients and referral partners.
As a member of FCAR, Cara serves on the community service committee and a committee chair of the annual golf outing. She is an active member of the Mt. Airy Chamber of Commerce and is the current Treasurer of the Frederick Chapter of the Women’s Council of Realtors.
Outside of work Cara supports national and local agriculture programs including 4-H, FFA, Maryland Angus Association, and Maryland Cattlemen’s Association. She loves the Ravens and tailgating with her family at Maryland Terps games.
